7月1-29日，应4188云顶集团、草种创新与草地农业生态系统全国重点实验室邀请，波多黎各大学终身教授、富布赖特学者、美国生态学会亚洲分会创始人及第一任主席邹晓明来访。

7月6日，邹晓明在4008云顶国际集团国际合作与交流处主办的第五期“海外名师大讲堂”上做题为《植物生态位和共存机制》的学术报告，报告会由井新教授主持，4188云顶集团、生态学院师生参加了报告会，并进行了热烈的讨论。报告围绕生态学的“皇冠”科学问题展开：什么是植物生态位以及什么因子决定植物多样性；邹晓明提出钙元素在调节植物生态位中的内在机制及重要作用，认为钙是调节植物生态位的关键元素，还论述了“适钙种树”的理论及钙的变异幅度与植物多样性关系等内容。报告为科研人员研究植物生态位和物种共存机制提供了新的见解，同时也为拓展师生的国际化视野、提升国际交流能力提供了支撑。

邹晓明来访期间将与草地生态研究所师生讨论项目合作并指导研究生撰写学术论文。

报告人简介：Dr. Xiaoming Zou obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Nanjing Forestry University in 1982, Master’s degree from University of Michigan in 1988, and PhD in Forest and Wood Sciences from Colorado State University in 1992. He has been working as Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor since then in University of Puerto Rico, participating in the Long-term Ecological Research at the Luquillo Station. He received the Fulbright Scholar from the Bureau of Education and Culture, U.S. Department of State in 2014. He was the cofounder of the Asian Section in the Ecological Society of America. He pioneered research linking Ca supply potentials with plant diversity. His current research interests focus on causes of climate changes and mechanisms for plant coexistence.
